Drinking from the tap, at 4 Pines Brewery, Brookvale

You’d never know it was there, tucked away in an industrial estate of Brookvale.

As longtime fans (tragics) of 4 Pines in Manly HQ, we were keen to visit its big sister Brookvale outlet where the beer is brewed and is now open to the public on Fridays and Sundays. (We’re told Wednesdays and Thursdays are on the cards in the future).

Opened in December 2015, the suitably named Truck Bar – the bar is a cool old truck – serves up all the regular 4 Pines beers alongside their latest Keller Door releases. You can grab a seat overlooking the brewery, a big screen or be a little more social at one of the long tables at the space’s centre.

Munchies comes courtesy of a food truck parked out front. It’s a rotating, as yet unestablished roster of trucks, but the afternoon of our visit it was some tasty Brazilian BBQ.

A nice and very welcome addition to the Northern Beaches, 4 Pines Brookvale makes for a more local and interesting way to enjoy craft beer.

The hack? Great beer in a cool space with a very local vibe, fresh from the tap only metres away.
